Centre Information
Deru Creche Kindergarten and Family Centre was previously known as Kingston Early Learning Centre and has the same directors, owners and most of the same teachers since 2011. We provide holistic quality care and education for children aged birth - school age. Our primary focus is on sincere and authentic care of the children and families who attend. We are a small centre licensed for just 41 children per day. This creates a family-like atmosphere, and is more conducive to creating close and authentic relationships between teachers, children and families. The Centre has a history of minimal staff changes, indicating the dedication of the staff and happy, supportive environment in which the staff themselves professionally and personally grow. We continually encourage family involvement and value parent participation and friendships.
Our Centre is situated in an easily accessible, quiet cul-de-sac just off the M1 highway in Slacks Creek (on the service road south of Ikea)
Opening times Monday - Friday (6am - 6pm)
We are a small, 3 room centre - Nursery, Toddler, and Kindergarten
Providing highly nutritious meals (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea). Our vegetables, meat eggs and yoghurt are all CERTIFIED ORGANIC. We grow all our own herbs, and a lot of our vegetables, and avoid using artificial preservatives, flavourings and colourings
All of our other lead teachers are Diploma Qualified with many years of experience, and are committed to ongoing and Professional Development and Learning
We have a strong focus on character development and bringing out the best in every child through our Virtues and Character Program
Nurturing a love and respect for nature through our gardens and playgrounds, and embedded sustainability (not only worm farms, and solar panels!)

Free Kindy
Offering a Kindergarten Program (Preschool) lead by a Teacher with Master’s Degree in Learning and Development (Specializing in Early Childhood) and a Bachelor Degree in Languages and Linguistics. Approved Kindergarten Program is “ Free Kindy” for 15 hours a week, 40 weeks a year.
