To our Families and future Families
You may have seen me more in the office or have received an email or two from (Sam 😊). Last year I took the job of learning the ropes of the director’s position. This year stepping more into this I am now the Director of Deru creche, working alongside Lee and Annette. With their guidance, wisdom and many years’ worth of knowledge I have been able to learn so much, along with the 13 years of experience I have had working at this Centre.
As you may be aware, I’m in the playground in the mornings and some afternoons along with cooking the yummy food that we have for lunch. This is something that I thoroughly enjoy, still having interactions with the children and being able to chat with you all at drop off/pick up. This also enables me to chat with the teachers and provide them with ideas while guiding them through their room planning.
Both Lee and Annette have stepped back a little from the Centre, only coming in twice a week or when needed and both are only a phone call away. They are still around in the background, guiding the staff, sharing their ideas and passions and most of all having connections with all families. They are the Nana’s of the Centre and with their love and vision, this is what has made this Centre so unique.
With this being said; I hope to continue to build beautiful relationships with all the families and children at Deru; and like Lee and Annette have always encouraged the office door to be open for chats, open communication, or any queries or concerns you may have. Please don’t ever hesitate to pop your head in and have a chat.
